Following my younger sister's exams, we wanted to book a trip away for her and her friend to celebrate leaving school and to make some fun memories before she moved away to Liverpool for University and what better place than Albuferia known for its beautiful beaches and hot summers...






We had booked it throughout Thomas Cook ( when it still existed). It was around £180 for 3 days flights and a hotel which we were over the moon about! I’ve never been to Portugal before but had heard a lot about it so I was super excited to tick another place off my bucket list.

 We went in the peak of the summer months when It was super warm, we flew out with easy jet on the 22nd August until the 25th August.






Where to stay?

We stayed in Quinta Pedra Dos Bicos, Albuferia it was a 4 star and we stayed in an apartment self-catering which had everything we needed and it was super spacious, it was also very close to the beach too which was handy and resided within a complex which there were shops surrounding with everything you needed.






Things to do?

1.     Zoomarine Algarve -The essential day out for families in Albufeira, this attraction has marine animal demonstrations alongside a waterpark.

2.     Nightlife-There are bars, nightclubs, amusements, fast-food joints, and pretty much everything else for young people who want to paint the town red.

3.     Watersports- In between the phenomenal beaches, Albufeira has a coastline dimpled with caves, and the only way to approach many of these is by water. That’s where the many companies arranging kayak, canoe and stand-up paddleboard excursions come in

4.     Boat Trips - Dolphin-spotting trips offer a great chance of spotting pods of bottlenose, Risso’s or common dolphins in the wild.
